Please don't think the bottom one is mine (wait - you can think that if you'd like, actually) except it's not.  I bought 4 post cards of my favorite Degas pictures and drew the top one of a small one that seemed like there was absolutely too much going on in such a small space.  Man, it worked.  The museum was SO crowded (it took an hour just to get in!) and it was awkward drawing with so many people around so I only did this one...


  1. Wonderful! Degas has little on you. Too bad about the crowds; wonder what the weekend would be like. Happy Mother's Day.

  2. I had to let my hair dry this morning, so I copied one of the post cards I bought - will post it later! What a terrific exercise! The Degas show displayed a ton of nudes Degas did from a brothel that no one was aware of until he died and they discovered them in his studio. I am not wondering if he was a bit of a pervert or simply obsessed with the human body...
