About Us

WHO:
Anyone with at least a pencil and a piece of sketching paper is welcome to join us on any of our outings. We charge no fees, we have no sign ups; but we do like to draw, sketch, paint, eat, drink, and have fun.

WHEN:
There is a small group who sketch together every Wednesday morning at 10:0 for a few hours.  In good weather we go outside.  Cold, wet weather takes us into libraries, coffee shops, museums, malls and other places where people tend to gather. Find details on our FB page at this link.

WHAT:
To record in our sketchbooks, the people, places, things and/or events either here in the Tri-Cities, or where ever we may travel, either as a group or as individuals.

WORLD-WIDE SKETCHCRAWL:
Every four months we join sketchers all over the world for a "World-Wide SketchCrawl." Stay tuned for dates.

  1. The Vineyard City Arts Council, sponsors of what will be our second annual Vineyard City Arts Festival, would like to invite the Tri-Cities Urban Sketchers to be part of our event. The festival will be held in Benton City on Saturday, May 18, with most activities in City Park and the downtown business area. Our mission is to celebrate art in all forms including fine arts, fine craft, music, dance, literature and drama. Our focus is to promote and inspire the hidden talent in our community and encourage the creativity of our youth. Performances, displays, demonstrations, and workshops will showcase a variety of artists, artisans, and authors and will help to make the arts more accessible.

Please contact me at 948-4170 or vangogal@yahoo.com for more information and to let us know whether your group would be willing to participate.

    Thank you,
    Heather Duncan
