"Lady and her Mac in Local Coffee House"

A few of us met this morning at about 9:30 in the parking lot in front of Allied Arts.  We were expecting to follow one of our members to one of the two places he said he had set-up, but he didn't show up.

We ended up in Roaster's Coffee, again.  It was nice and warm inside; it's only about 15 degrees outside today.

The three of us there all decided, independently, that this lady working on her Mac at this table was the most interesting subject in the room.  Two of us actually sketched her and isn't it interesting how differently they always come out so diverse in the final product.

This one is mine.  I put the dark backgrounds in to bring the subject, and her furniture forward while juxtaposed against the odd zebra-like creature on the far wall.

6x9 Super Aquabee Sketchbook, ink, watercolor and just a bit of photoshop.

  1. Jim, as always, your sketch is fantastic. As soon as I get my geek on, I'll post my version of this gal.
